Mind (pronounced /ˈmaɪnd/) is the aspect of intellect and consciousness experienced as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination, including all unconscious cognitive processes. The term is often used to refer, by implication, to the thought processes of reason. Mind manifests itself subjectively as a stream of consciousness. Theories of mind and its function are numerous. Earliest recorded speculations are from the likes of Zoroaster, the Buddha, Plato, Aristotle, Adi Shankara and other ancient Greek, Indian and, later, Islamic philosophers. Pre-scientific theories grounded in theology concentrated on the supposed relationship between the mind and the soul, human's supernatural, divine or god-given essence. Which attributes make up the mind is much debated. Some argue that only the higher intellectual functions constitute mind, particularly reason and memory. In this view the emotions—love, hate, fear, joy—are more primitive or subjective in nature and should be seen as different from the mind as such. Others argue that various rational and emotional states cannot be so separated, that they are of the same nature and origin, and should therefore be considered all part of what we call the mind. In popular usage mind is frequently synonymous with thought: the private conversation with ourselves that we carry on "inside our heads." Thus we "make up our minds," "change our minds" or are "of two minds" about something. One of the key attributes of the mind in this sense is that it is a private sphere to which no one but the owner has access. No one else can "know our mind." They can only interpret what we consciously or unconsciously communicate. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License How do you make your mind more malleable? Q. I wish there was an eastern religion section to put this question, but I figure some of you may be able to provide insight. Simply put, I want to achieve enlightenment in the sense that I want my mind to be completely open. I plan to study several new languages and medical and scientific literature. I am willing to consider any diet or exercise routine - however preposterous, so long as it aids the health of the mind. Q. I know there is a technical answer out there, but I was curious to know if a person contracted rabies and let it set in a bit would it be like tripping on acid? Would you remeber it? I know it effects your mind and nerves. Does it make you want to kill or go crazy, or what? I'm not planning on trying it! DUH!!! But just wanting to know. Asked by nicolea0329 - Tue Aug 22 16:34:24 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I've (thankfully) have never had rabies, but here's what I found: As the infection progresses, someone infected with rabies may develop any of the following symptoms: irritability anxiety excessive movements or agitation confusion hallucinations aggressiveness bizarre or abnormal thoughts muscle spasms abnormal postures seizures (convulsions) weakness or paralysis (when a person cannot move some part of the body) extreme sensitivity to bright lights, sounds, or touch increased production of saliva or tears difficulty speaking insomnia The website said that rabies is nearly always fatal once symptoms appear, so I don't think you will find many people who have lived with advanced rabies. Q. I think that our daily life is much dependent upon the trust & faith in between all of us, whether we talk about family & relationships or talk about business or any other field where people meet. Every thing is attached with trust. Upon some people we trust more & there are also others who are distrustful. I think there are some parameters which should be kept in mind to win some one's trust, I know few, rest is expected from you like wise people. The first and foremost thing that to be kept in mind while gaining someones trust is that never to break that trust. I have seen people who have got the attitude like " promises are meant to be broken"...But i think people should not have such type of attitude. Be honest and truthful. Dont leave truth, No matter it will give you sooo much of pain in your life, but remember truth always leads in the end. And ya be a trustworthy person...that's whats all required...tc...sweet dreamz...bye... ***dO wh@tEvEr yOuR hE@rT $@yZ...***.
